The growing challenge

Polyester is one of the most widely used materials in the world, yet its current lifecycle remains largely linear. Over 114 million tonnes of polyester are produced annually across textile and packaging applications.¹

Large volumes of polyester waste are generated every year, but existing recycling systems are unable to process many of these waste streams. The majority of polyester waste cannot be mechanically recycled today.

At the same time, global demand continues to rely heavily on fossil-based inputs.

We are building the technology to change this system.

Closing the loop for polyester

Our proprietary depolymerisation technology transforms complex polyester waste streams into virgin-quality raw materials that can directly replace fossil-based inputs.

Simply put: We exchange today’s fossil-based raw materials with a better alternative.

With our technology, we are able to process complex and mixed polyester waste streams, including:

• Polyester textiles and blended fabrics
• Multilayer and difficult-to-recycle PET packaging

The output is a drop-in-ready raw material compatible with existing polyester value chains. Existing polyester manufacturing infrastructure can continue to be used, with no additional investment required to adapt downstream production.

From breakthrough technology to industrial impact

Our patented technology is designed to move from validated process to full-scale deployment through a clear and structured scale-up pathway.

Our next milestone: We are constructing our first small-scale industrial plant in Chemiepark Knapsack (Hürth), Germany, with a planned capacity of 11,000 tonnes per year.

Supported by the ERDF/JTF programme and leading industry partners, this milestone represents the transition from technology validation to industrial deployment.
